2020 - 2021 Taiwan & India Bamboo Craft Online Exchange and Collaboration Project
這是一場跨越疆界與視野的交流。
這是台灣和印度第一次啟動綠色人文經濟的交流合作計畫，雙方基於對竹工藝與設計均有自已發展的文化背景並期待開創新局的共同想法，在台北駐印度經濟文化中心文化組的推動下，透過國立台灣工藝研究發展中心與印度國立設計學院共同催生出兩國首次的竹工藝合作計畫。
這次的線上交流對彼此來說也是跨國、跨文化合作的魔幻時刻，尤其這次是以「你設計、我製作」的雙向輸出模式，對台灣與印度雙方的參與者來說，手上製作的作品都來自遠方對我方的想像，每一位工藝家與設計師宛如魔術師，從雙手中具體幻化出跨界合作的種種可能，為這項精緻工藝的合作在文化交流與經濟發展上提供想像與養分。
It's a project that exceeded expectations and broken boundaries.
Based on the same idea of embarking on a new path in bamboo craft art and industry with the already built culture and skills, Taiwan and India become a great match to team up in seeking of green growth and sustainable development. Through the assistance of "Cultural Group of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in India,” The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center (NTCRI) and National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad (NID) join together to launch this bamboo craft art online collaboration for the very first time.
To both countries, the whole process of the project is a magical moment, especially with the form of “you design, I craft,” which provides duo directional output for two sides. For each participant, either the design sketch or work under production is coming out of the imagination and skills to/from the far away country. Thus, each artisan and designer is being like a magician to incubate various outcomes of intercultural and interocountry collaborations, and to provide a rich imagination of possible cooperation in cultural exchange and economic development of this exquisite craftsmanship in the contemporary world.
